The PNC Arts Center is located in nearby Holmdel, it's an open air amphitheatre with an extensive summer concert series. In Red Bank, the Count Basie Theatre has several amazing shows per week or catch a theatrical performance at Two Rivers Theatre. The First Avenue Playhouse is a dessert and dinner theater in Atlantic Highlands.  All are just minutes from Comfort Inn Middletown-Red Bank!

Monmouth County is home to several military institutions including Naval Weapons Station at Earle and the US Coast Guard. Ohmsett uses the NWS Earle location in Leonardo as it's home base. Brookdale Community College main campus is located in Lincroft and a nearby satellite campus in Hazlet/Northern Monmouth County. Monmouth University and the Monmouth University Performing Arts Center is located in nearby West Long Branch.

There are many restaurants, bars and shops in the neighboring towns of Atlantic Highlands, Red Bank, Rumson, Fairhaven, Hazlet, Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Highlands.
